( every Sunday )
Time : 2.30 pm – 5.00 pm
Course Details
The students will be exposed to the correct
way of cutting the qalam ( reed pen )
The students can learn how to write 2 types
of Arabic scripts ; Naskh & Thuluth
The students will be taught to write the
alphabets first, follow by joins and then the
full sentences
We are offering flexible course where the
students can come to the class or can
corresponding with the teacher through email.
Class will be conducted in Malay and English
language

Biography of Citi J. Yousoff
Citi J Yousoff from Kelantan, Malaysia first
graduated with Honours Degree in Fine Arts
majoring in painting from the Wimbledon School
of Art. In 2006, she graduated with an MA in
Visual Islamic and Traditional Arts from the
Prince’s School of Traditional Arts London. She
then pursued her interest in Islamic arts majoring
in Islamic calligraphy as a disciple of the
Honourable Hasan Celebi in Turkey. In early
2012, she qualified with Ijaza in the Thuluth and
Naskh scripts. Her works are centred around the
traditional arts of Islamic calligraphy with
elements of traditional Malay Islamic motifs with
some reflections of her contemporary art
experience. She is currently one of the
committee members of National Calligraphy
Association of Malaysia.
